Solease has used writing as an outlet since grade school.
While at the University of Michigan she was forced to take literary classes and her love for writing increased even more.
Solease graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors in Sociology. She then went on to graduate from Kaplan University with a Master’s in Criminal Justice.
During her time in higher education she continued to write with a deeper passion for writing. Her career passion is Criminal Justice, but her first love is writing poetry and short stories. This love lead her to write her first novel ‘The Sleeper’, the first book in the Secrets of the Ghosts trilogy.

Author Interview By Patti Roberts:
Where were you born and where do you call home? I was born in a small city in Michigan and I currently live in a even smaller town in Michigan.
Tell us about something that has just happened or is about to happen in your life that you would like to share. I was really excited to know my books made CNN News. That was pretty awesome and made me scream like a school girl lol.
What inspired you to start writing, and when? I have always written poems and short stories. I can remember being in a writing/book club around 12 years old. I never thought about writing full time, but in 2009 my life changed, and writing became a safe place for me. Now I can’t see doing nothing else, besides it so much fun!
How many books have you written? If more than one, are any a series…or trilogy? I have written two books, and yes they are in a trilogy.
What is the name of your most recent book and please sum it up in 50 words or less. The most recent book is Secrets of the Ghosts-AWAKENS. This is book 2 in a Trilogy. It continues the life of Holiday Towley, whose life has been turned upside down. Her daughter is in danger, her sister is suffering, she has a special gift/curse and she is finding she loves two men.
If you gave one of your characters in any of your books an opportunity to speak for themselves outside the realm of the story, what would they say? I think Leon would be perfect to let out and see what he says. I mean Leon always has drama in his life. He probably would like to know why lol.
Do you have plans for a new book? Yes, I’m currently working on a New Series and genre.
Is there an Author that you would really like to meet? I have many I would like to meet, but I’m a lover of poetry first so Maya Angelou would be my first choice.
